  1. Primers: The purpose of the primer coat is to wet the surface and to provide good adhesion for the following coats. The primer gets applied directly to the cleaned steel surface.
  2. Intermediate Coats: This coat is designed to make the overall coating thicker, adding longevity to the time of protection. These coats help decrease permeability to oxygen and water.
  3. Stripe Coats: These coats get applied to welds, fasteners and external corners. The coatings on these areas tend to thin upon drying thus requiring extra coats.
  4. Finish Coat: This coat gives the surface a nice appearance and adds resistance to weather, sunlight and open exposure.
